Google launched a new update in SEO. It might also be a big challenge for SEOs. Now google announced that it will not show the exact title and description as your target on your webpage. Yes…

Google new update, now google self generate title and description for SERP result pages based on the entered query. Now we don’t know that what kind of text or sentences google displays as a title in ranking. But Google also provides some criteria for generating a title.

Google might use one of these as a title

We can not say surely that this is the fixed criteria for new change but we take this as an SEO practice.

  1. Content of H1 tags
  2. Content of other headline tags(h2 to h6)
  3. Any decorated text on the page(Bold, Italic text)
  4. Anchor text of links on the page
  5. An attribute of an image on the page

As per google announce data initially Google New update is only applied for 20% of websites only. You can check the Official announcement of the google meta title update.

Google might rewrite your title tag if

  1. If the title is too long
  2. If keywords have been stuffed
  3. If default text is present (Contact us, About us)
  4. If the text doesn’t represent the page

If you have this kind of error on your page then it might possible that google will change your meta title.

How you can check meta title is change?

You can use fade Gomez’s tool for it. It’s not a proper tool. It’s a bookmark that you can use to check the new meta title.
